Goals

Taking the time to sit down and write out your goals for the present, the near future and the more remote future is a necessary part of transforming your life.

So stop and ask yourself some important questions:
What do you want for yourself?
What do you want for your family?
What do you want for your business?
How much are you willing to give?
How much do you want to share?
What are your goals?
Are these goals inspiring?
How do they make you feel?

Wealth Is Neutral

Wealth is Neutral
.

At its most basic, money is a tool that enables us to meet our individual needs. As a form of potential energy that empowers us to generate change, it is neither good nor bad. Yet many people react emotionally to issues concerning finances, unconsciously condemning currency itself, the manner in which money is spent, and people who live lives of financial abundance. Individuals who are rich in gifts such as high intelligence are acknowledged for their positive traits while those who have acquired material riches or aspire to become wealthy are frequently judged harshly. However, wealth is not a trait upon which judgment can be legitimately passed. It tells us nothing about how a person lives, what they believe in, whom they care for, or the scope of their values. Like any blessing, wealth is merely an instrument of purpose that can be used both constructively and destructively.

From an early age, people learn to court wealth while simultaneously associating money with greed, selfishness, and unethical behavior. Consequently, this idea becomes entrenched in their hearts as envy. To attain a balanced and rational comprehension of money, as well as a fairer perspective of wealth, we need to recognize that outward manifestations of wealth tell us little about the individuals enjoying those blessings. When we feel the finger of jealousy prompting us to draw unflattering conclusions about people whose lives seem more financially secure than our own, we should remind ourselves that there are many elements of their circumstances we cannot see. Their wealth may be the result of long hours of taxing labor, they may donate a large percentage of their resources to charitable causes, or their bounty may be an incidental aspect of a life spent doing what they love. Ultimately, we can heal our hurtful associations with money by turning a blind eye toward both wealth and poverty when interacting with others and instead focusing on the individual before us.

If you take a moment to consider you own feelings regarding money and wealth, you may discover that you equate financial prosperity with happiness, power, security, independence, or self-indulgence. Money itself, however, is none of these things. You can begin developing a healthier view of wealth by simply accepting that while some possess great wealth and others do not, we all have the potential to create lives of beauty, substance, and wisdom using the resources we have been granted.

Law of Diminishing Intent

Law of Diminishing Intent

The Law of Diminishing Intent states: The longer you wait to do something you know you should do now, the greater the chances are that you'll never actually do it.

This law applies to every area of our lives, we can refer to it a procrastination, laziness, fear of failure or success, perfectionism, etc. they all boil down to lack of getting started.

In the 12-step recovery movement, men & women in recovery often volunteer their time to speak to others who may also suffer from the disease of addiction, and who are unable to attend regularly scheduled 12-step recovery meetings.

Often the speaker or speakers may say, "make a meeting your first destination upon leaving this facility." Their experience has shown them time and again, people who put off making that first meeting upon release are most likely to suffer a relapse. This is the law of diminishing intent.

Not picking up the phone to call a parent, sibling or other relative, always with the intention of doing so, leads to another day the call doesn't get made, until finally the thought becomes, it's been so long they don't want to hear from me now.

This often quite contrary to the truth, but as human beings we can rationalize our behaviors quite well.

The axiom to this law is quite simply, doing the next you can do, right now. If that's picking up the phone & making that call, so be it. If it's turning on the dishwasher or mowing the lawn, just do something.

Think of something you've had the intention of doing or starting, what is one thing you can think of to get the ball rolling? Do It Now.

Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life

Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life - Starting Today!
By Jack Canfield

This isn't a trick question.Certainly you know the answer -- who is the person who has been
responsible for the life you live right now? YOU.
Everything about you is a result of your doing or not doing... Your income. Debt. Relationships. Health. Fitness
level. Attitudes and behaviors.I've often said that you are either creating or allowing everything that is happening in your life.

I think everyone knows this in their hearts, but often times people convince themselves into thinking that external
factors are the source of their failure, disappointment, and unhappiness.
External factors do not determine how you live. YOU are in complete control of the quality of your life, by either
creating or allowing the circumstances you experience. When I hear people complain about the state of their life
(be it their problems with personal finances, weight, their jobs, or general dissatisfaction), I like to help them see
things differently. If they feel "stuck" and unable to move forward for whatever reason, I ask them to scrutinize both what is working well
and what isn't working well in their life and see how they've arrived at where they currently are.

For example, if a woman tells me she's unhappy with her weight -- she travels frequently, and has no to time to
exercise or seek healthy foods -- I point out that her weight is not a result of her travels and schedule. It's an
outcome of what she chooses to eat and how she chooses to move, regardless of her daily agenda.

Why not make a conscious effort to pre-plan healthy meals and snacks, even if it's on the go, and sneak in 10 minutes
here and 10 minutes there to be physically active (hey, I know some frequent flyers that make it a habit of running
through airports!).

If you're frustrated with any area in your life, then it's time to take a little inventory.
Certainly there are wonderful things happening, whether it's your job, your romantic relationship, your children, your
friends, or your income level. Your accomplishments are just as important as your missteps.

First, congratulate yourself on your successes; and then take a look at what isn't working out so well. What are you
doing or not doing to create those experiences? Watch out! If you find yourself beginning to complain about
everything but the choices you've made, then you need to take a step back. See if you can stop blaming outside
factors for your unhappiness.
When you realize that you -- and only you -- create your experiences, you'll realize that you can un-create them and
forge new experiences whenever you want. How empowering is that!

You must take responsibility for your happiness and your unhappiness, your successes and your failures, your good
times and your bad times. All too often we choose to claim the successes and blame the failures on others or other circumstances.
When you stop blaming, however, you can take that energy and redirect it to focus on shaping a better situation for yourself. Blaming
only ties up your energy. Imagine roping all the energy into a positive effort.

Some ideas to make this happen:
1. Believe, Believe, Believe! Have unwavering faith in
yourself, for good and bad. Make the decision to accept the
fact that you create all your experiences. You will
experience successes thanks to you, and you will experience
pain, struggle, and strife thanks to you. Sounds a little
strange, but accepting this level of responsibility is
uniquely empowering. It means you can do, change, and be
anything. Stumbling blocks become just that -- little hills
to hop over.

2. Take no less than 100% responsibility. Successful people
take full responsibility for the thoughts they think, the
images they visualize, and the actions they take. They don't
waste their time and energy blaming and complaining. They
evaluate their experiences and decide if they need to change
them or not. They face the uncomfortable and take risks in
order to create the life they want to live.
3. Stop complaining. Look at what you are complaining about.
I'm fat. I'm tired. I can't get out of debt. I won't ever
get a better job. I can't stand the relationship I have with
my sister. I'll never find a soulmate in life. Really
examine your complaints. More than likely you can do
something about them. They are not about other people, other
things, or other events. They are about YOU.

4. Make an immediate change. Are you unhappy about something
that is happening right now? Make requests that will make it
more desirable to you, or take the steps to change it
yourself. Making a change might be uncomfortable for you. It
might mean you have to put in more time, money, and effort.
It might mean that someone gets upset about it, or makes you
feel bad about your decision. It might be difficult to
change or leave a situation, but staying put is your choice
so why continue to complain?
You can either do something about it or not. It is your
choice and you have responsibility for your choices.

5. Pay attention. Looking to others for help and guidance is
helpful, but don't forget to stay tuned in to yourself --
your behavior, attitude, and life experiences. Identify
what's working and what isn't. If you need to, write it all
down. Then...

6. Face the truth and take action for the long term. You
have to be willing to change your behavior if you want a
different outcome. You have to be willing to take the risks
necessary to get what you want. If you've already taken an
initial step in the right direction, now's the time to plan
additional steps to keep moving you forward, faster.
Isn't it a great relief to know that you can make your life
what you want it to be? Isn't it wonderful that your
successes do not depend on someone else?

If you need just one thing to do different today, than you did yesterday, make it this: Commit to taking 100% responsibility for every aspect of
your life. Decide to make changes, one step at a time. Once you start the process you'll discover it's much easier to get what you want by taking
control of your thoughts, your visualizations, and your actions!

Why YOU must make it !!!

Why YOU must make it !!! By David Bruerd

Christine works in a small company in Layton, Utah that produces lapel pins and recognition awards.

She loves her work.

She knows that these pins are awarded to the thousands of people who advance in levels in their Network Marketing company every month. She has worked here since she was 16.

She is now 23.

She uses all her income to support her unemployed mother and disabled sister Cathy.

Cathy requires special care which costs thousands of dollars and Christine works hard to provide it.

Everything for her hinges on more and more people being awarded these pins, so she can continue to have a good paying job.

That's why you have to make it.

Felipe owns the Mexican restaurant your team meets at every Wednesday night.

He loves your positive attitude and friendly nature. You enjoy the food and the casual ambience.

And the food is superb. He is thrilled to have you all as a group coming in frequenting his And the food is superb. He is thrilled to have you all as a group coming in frequenting his restaurant.

Because you're all there is between him having to close up or stay open.

The business his family has owned for 42 years. The economy has crushed him.

Less and less people are coming through his doors and he almost cries when he sees you and your MLM team come in on a Wednesday night. He knows he can survive another week until things get better. As your team grows, more and more people join you on the Wednesday night.

While you raise a glass at the table, Felipe raises his hands and thanks God he's made it through another week.

That's why you have to make it.

A man sits on a train staring into the wall. He wonders what brought him to this hell he has to now endure.

He has lost his job...again. His boss assured him that 'tough business conditions' were the reason and he simply could not keep him on. He has no idea what to tell his wife. He can't call her because their phone was disconnected on Friday. They're two months behind on their mortgage and the bank has been playing things tough. He sits on a train because six weeks ago, a tow truck came and took their car away from their driveway. He wishes someone would come along and show him a way out.

Someone who could put out a helping hand and say "it's okay, we can get out of this together. I will show you a better way."

That's why you have to make it.

The world needs heroes. It needs people like YOU, willing to live life loud. TO BE EPIC.

It needs people to step up and say I will do what it takes to make things better for myself and others.

Take what you've been given with this opportunity and use it to help people like Christine, Felipe and the man on the train.

You and I have the opportunity and responsibility to stimulate the personal economy of MORE people than any Presidential Administration ever has or ever will.

When you lift yourself up through this business, it's inevitable that you raise others with you.

As you grow and prosper, that growth and prosperity will shine into the lives of others.

It's just the way life was meant to be.

And that's why you have to make it.

Your friend in success,

David B

Evaluating Your Associations by Jim Rohn

Evaluating Your Associations by Jim Rohn

If you were to evaluate the major influences in your life that have shaped the kind of person you are, this has to be high on the list: the people and thoughts you choose to allow into your life. Mr. Shoaff gave me a very important warning in those early days that I would like to share with you. He said, "Never underestimate the power of influence." Indeed, the influence of those around us is so powerful! Many times we don't even realize we're being strongly affected because influences generally develop over an extended period of time.

Peer pressure is an especially powerful force because it is so subtle. If you're around people who spend all they make, chances are excellent that you'll spend all you make. If you are around people who go to more ball games than concerts, chances are excellent that you'll do the same thing. If you are around people who don't read, chances are excellent that you won't read. People can keep nudging us off course a little at a time until finally, we find ourselves asking, "How did I get here?" Those subtle influences need to be studied carefully if we really want our lives to turn out the way we've planned.

With regard to this important point, let me give you three key questions to ask yourself. They may help you to make better analyses of your current associations.

Here is the first question: "Who am I around?" Make a mental note of the people with whom you most often associate. You've got to evaluate everybody who is able to influence you in any way.

The second question is: "What are these associations doing to me?" That's a major question to ask. What have they got me doing? What have they got me listening to? What have they got me reading? Where have they got me going? What do they have me thinking? How have they got me talking? How have they got me feeling? What have they got me saying? You've got to make a serious study of how others are influencing you, both negatively and positively.

Here's a final question: "Is that okay?" Maybe everyone you associate with has been a positive, energizing influence. Then again, maybe there are some bad apples in the bunch. All I'm suggesting here is that you take a close and objective look. Everything is worth a second look, especially the power of influence. Both will take you somewhere, but only one will take you in the direction you need to go.

It's easy to just dismiss the things that influence our lives. One man says, "I live here, but I don't think it matters. I'm around these people, but I don't think it hurts." I would take another look at that. Remember, everything matters! Sure, some things matter more than others, but everything amounts to something. You've got to keep checking to find out whether your associations are tipping the scales toward the positive or toward the negative. Ignorance is never the best policy. Finding out is the best policy.

Perhaps you've heard the story of the little bird. He had his wing over his eye and he was crying. The owl said to the bird, "You are crying." "Yes," said the little bird, and he pulled his wing away from his eye. "Oh, I see," said the owl. "You're crying because the big bird pecked out your eye." And the little bird said, "No, I'm not crying because the big bird pecked out my eye. I'm crying because I let him."

It's easy to let influence shape our lives, to let associations determine our direction, to let pressures overwhelm us, and to let tides take us. The big question is, are we letting ourselves become what we wish to become?

—Jim Rohn
